Dr Jim Reid - Group Quality Manager
Jim joined Synergy in 1996 as General Manager of Sterile Linen. He took up his current position in 2000. Prior to working for Synergy, he held senior positions at companies and organisations as diverse as Recticel plc, The Furniture Industry Research Association and Cranfield Institute of Technology. Jim received a PhD in Applied Chemistry from Strathclyde University in 1971.
Michael Langhorn - UK Commercial Director
At the beginning of May 2005, Mike heads up Synergy's Commercial Team focusing on growing business in the UK linen and surgical markets.
Mike joined Synergy from Integral, a facilities management provider to the NHS and other public and commercial bodies, where he held the position of Development Director. Mike received a Mathematics degree from Manchester University and completed post-graduate studies in operational research at Brunel University.
Adrian Coward - Director of IT
Adrian joined Synergy in 2004. Prior to this he was Technical Manager for a software services company providing project management, development and support for bespoke systems used by scientific, R&D and manufacturing organisations. Adrian has a PhD in Applied Mathematics from Manchester University and a BSc in Mathematics from Exeter University.
Richard Waterhouse – UK Director of Human Resources
Richard has eighteen years experience in Human Resources working in both the public and private sectors, providing a full employee related service to management and employees in multi-site service organisations, in both unionised and non-unionised environments. Richard’s working experience has included a large number of acquisitions and employee transfers and has therefore incorporated detailed experience of the TUPE regulations, staff integration issues and the formulation of appropriate policies and procedures to fit the needs of ever changing organisations. Richard joined the group in 2001 and is a graduate member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.
