| A founder of the strategy in surgical support and sterile services, Richard was appointed Chief Executive in 1992. Previously he was corporate development manager for Braithwaite plc, a plant hire company, and associate consultant with strategic consultants, LEK Consulting. Richard has a PhD in biochemistry from St John’s College, Cambridge and a BSc (1st Class Hons) in human physiology from the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada. Richard was named CEO of the Year in February 2005 at the Quoted Company Awards and recently elected as a Companion of the Chartered Management Institute. |
| Ivan joined Synergy in 2003. He was previously a Chief Finance Officer and latterly
Chief Operating Officer at Fujitsu Consulting Northern Europe, the Japanese conglomerate’s
IT consultancy and managed services business. Ivan has considerable knowledge of
outsourcing and service industries as well as M&A, IT and international development.
He qualified as a chartered accountant with Arthur Andersen, where he specialised
in corporate financial services. |
| Duncan was Chief Executive of the National Health Service Management Executive between
1989 and 1994. He was a non-executive director of BUPA between 1994 and 2002, a
non-executive director of the Home Office Strategy Board for Correctional Services,
and an Honorary Professor in the Manchester Centre for Healthcare Management at
the University of Manchester. Duncan became a Director in November 2002 and was
nominated as an independent non-executive Director in March 2003. He is Chairman
of the Remuneration Committee. |
Robert was Group Finance Director of WPP Group plc, a leading global marketing services
group, between 1986 and 1996. Between 1997 and 2003, he was an Executive Director
of Cable & Wireless plc, initially as Group Finance Director and then as Chief
Executive of C&W Regional, a £1.5 billion turnover group, operating in 30 countries,
serving on a number of C&W listed subsidiary boards. Since 2000, Mr Lerwill
has been a Non-Executive Director of Aegis plc; he serves as senior independent
director and heads the audit committee. He is a Director of The Anthony Nolan Trust
and has served on the Nottingham University Leadership Board. In January 2005, Mr
Lerwill became a Non-Executive Director of both British American Tobacco Plc and
Multigraphics Limited and recently took up the role of CEO of Aegis plc.

| Marcello joined LTS following completion of his postgraduate studies at the University of Amsterdam. He has held various positions in the organisation and was also a director of joint venture healthcare foundation. Marcello was appointed Chief Executive of LTS in 1987 and became a member of Synergy's board in November 2005. |
