Surgical Support Services
Synergy’s Surgical Support Services Division is the largest private sector provider of decontamination and sterilisation services for surgical instruments to the NHS. In addition to this, Synergy has recently expanded its operation into The Netherlands and now operates two processing centres there.Trading as Surgical Synergy the division provides a comprehensive range of services and products to operating theatres and other clinical users of sterile products across the UK.
The service has worked in partnership with the NHS since achieving compliance in its first unit in 1996. Synergy has a clear understanding of and focus upon achieving the goals and aspirations of its customers for the service and its delivery to them.
The services and products include:
- Reprocessing of used surgical instruments in the acute, PCT, ISTC and private sectors;
- Innovative, bespoke IT systems for product traceability and production and inventory management, TrakStar™, and SynergyCustomer.com;
- A full range of disposable instruments;
- A full range of disposable surgeons’ gowns and patients’ drapes;
- A full range of reusable barrier fabric surgeons’ gowns and patients’ drapes;
- An instrument containerisation system to address issues of risk, health and safety and cost.
